Invent Theatre is an independent not for profit organisation which aims to showcase the work of young people and provide opportunities to develop skills in performance, technical production and arts management. Situated in Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight, INVENT was founded by young people in 2007 and is supported by an Executive Committee of professionals, who aim to inspire and empower young people and help innovative and creative ideas become a reality.
Invent Theatre’s projects take many forms, from tours of new plays, to the management of events. Our work continues to push boundaries and ambitious goals and from 2010 Invent Theatre will manage a new international fringe festival for the Isle of Wight, with a core management team made entirely of young people.
